Good Work Mikey ... who did the decals for that Marin Indian Fire Trail. Dont want to put it down, but I have to admit the top tube font looks super off and quite far away from the original. Was that Gil again?
I didnt do the frame it was powdercoated. Frame and fork decals from Gill. I was only responsible for fork lowers, stem, and seat clamp as a job for someone else. Phone pics really dont do it justice sadly. Im not too familiar with retro Marins but the fork decals were spot on. I fitted them under the clear, put down 3 coats of clear, flatted back and smoothed the edges, then re-cleared.
... and again, I am surprised how wrong and sloppy the tob tube font of GILs Marin decals are. Heard (and saw) that a dozen times now. Its quite disappointing given the fact of his place in the market.
You are so right about the SprayMax 2k. Here are parts of a recent project:
- A color and decal "test tube" I quickly made some days ago. Right after spray. No wet sand or polish!
- The finished KLEIN Attitude Uni fork for a 1991 Attitude project.
- Other SYNCROS stuff I rattle can re-painted as well.
I do all the vectors, decals, plotting and printing ...and painting myself
Heres a rattle project I started today. Finally...
My 1994 23" KLEIN Adept frame got its first coat of primer. Basically it was only to test the new paint-stand I build and welded for all the upcoming rattle-can projects. Worked fantastic!
