Rate my geometry- muni mula fork travel??

actually measured it today and the bottom bracket is about level with the rear axle, so it would take a fair drop in fork to get the bottom bracket lower

Perhaps this will help explain my point better.

The diagram that I documented appears somewhat exaggerated for effect. If you look at the example below, you will see that only a slight drop in Bottom Bracket height will give the desired effect to improve you bike’s handling.

This was my 1997 Muni Mula fitted with a 2003 SID Race, which had been reduced to 430mm Crown to Axle at rest giving 63mm of travel. This would emulate the original desired geometry with a 71 degree Head Tube Angle that Kona intended.

Ignore the camera’s lens parallax error at the top of the shot.

with suspension you have to allow a bit for the sag, the "static" position isn't that relevant since with your weight on it, everything changes
