Rare Rossin Monoblock…

Darrell

Dirt Disciple
Scouring the local sites here in Italy and came across this rarity. Anyone know anything about them as there seems to be little info online?

Looks similar to the early carbon Peugeots and Kestrel frames. I can't remember the company that made them - Aegis?

Then just re-branded them like Alan bike’s that seem to have everyone’s own stamp on them?

Yes, many of the early carbon "monocoque" frames very similar to this one were just rebadged. Not sure if this one is or not, and I can't remember the company.

It seems a nice bike with the glitter frame and wheels but for value I haven’t a clue what it’s worth as I can’t find another. He wants €750.

Apparently it is a Rossin prototype bike of which a number were made around 1999. It was shown and in the catalogue.

Wow, the wheels on that catalogue bike are seriously ugly. They make Spinergy ones look nice in comparison.

I wouldn’t have thought there’s much of a market for early Carbon bikes yet, but fashion being what it is, in 10 years time there will be.

Agree about the wheels. That’s about all I’ve found out about the bike online but being rare doesn’t make it a good deal. The bike itself looks nice in the red but the problem is I can’t find anything out there for comparison.

There was an Italian company that marketed a carbon frame that looked very similar to this Rossin , the model name of the frame was "C 4" , trying to think of the manufacturers name .

I’ve seen this on a Rossin Facebook forum but apparently it’s not a c4.
