Hi All
Thought i would show some images of my Specialized Stumpjumper (year 94) i think?
The bike was built up from a frame supplied by Specialized UK; if i remember in about 1994, the bike has seen about 2/3 seasons of XC racing some years back.
The frame is finished in its original and rare (maybe very rare) colour for that model - "gradual fade; lighter front to darker back - Aqua Green metallic", i have never seen another so far in this country; from what i remember it was made for the American market and was not available in this country. The logo's are finished in a semi transparent Magenta "purple" - this allows the metalic paint to show through.
The bike has had many years of good use and rides like a dream; the frame is very comfortable and the bike is very nimble and light to ride.
All the components are original from when i built the bike apart from the brakes which are a recent purchase. Note: that as you may be aware this bike was built up from a frame by myself; so most of the parts would not have been on an original build Stumpy 94 model. I am afraid to say that the bike has now become a bit of a garage queen; only ridden occasionally if ever. I now use my other MTB "handsome Dog" semi-retro for commuting and riding off road.
I have put the images on my Flikr account as their are quite a few images. to view the image follow the link below:
