Thats just gutting, i hope you see them again, this seems to be happening more and more frequently of late, obviously people are wanting bikes for summer now, but it seems to be more retro machines going, i wonder if the scallies have finally figured out there is quite a bit of money still in the old bikes!

This 100%. Sounds like a targeted professional hit. Sure thieves have cottoned on to the value of retro bikes and parts. A lot of uniquely identifiable items stolen so regular google searches may throw these items up for sale in local ads as well as the usual sites.

Hope you get it back quick and the culprits caught.

Interesting thoughts. Often wondered if this would start happening. I'd perhaps expect the retro stuff would be too hard to shift, some of it is so rare and distinctive as soon as it came up for sale the original owner / law would get wind. Sure if a gen 1 San An is up for grabs in the North West anytime soon the RB community will be all over it. All this said there was a gang stealing new(er) bikes, stripping and selling the relatively untraceable parts like gruppos, wheels etc.. Police busted them eventually and found a container rammed full of cervelo, colnago etc frames.
