Nice.

I bought a Dawes kingpin folder off ebay for £5 when drunk. spares or repair. only needed a bit of tlc, cables and tyres. since added a modern crank and DMRs as they were laying around.

not sure what i'll use it for though? but i didnt own a folder so had to have one incase

rides really well, but flexes alot!

Ok so I have decided to hold onto my Shopper for just now - saw this and was wondering, would it be fun to rebuild it more like a Raleigh Commando?

BTW, I won a Dawes on ebay fopr £10.60 last night, picked it up...needs some work, time for a build-off then Nelly...not a bad ideal really...everyone pick up cheap shoppers and go mad...

A build off eh? Sounds good, but are we going for concourse or wild re-imagining? My problem is that mines is in stunning condition, but what I really want to do is customize. Got a spare set of wheels for me?

I picked up a once proud Dawes kingpin for £10.60 http://www.folding.tv/?p=9 yesterday, a random ebay bid and I won...not quite sure it was a good idea though, she's a keeper.

Got to finish off the orange bike before I start on something new...would like to see a nice restored twenty though ...I might strip down and go for pub build but we'll see what the future holds.

A build-off, great idea...see what people come up with, cap a budget and chose the raleigh twenty or something easy to get...t'would be fun.

great link, that guy wins! I notice that Dawes has a proper headset. My twenty has the funny plastic thing. Ideally I'de like to replace the headest, but i haven't figured out if that means new forks? The wheels are the first order of business. Shall we cap the budget at £50 then?
