Raleigh triathlon 105 all original just found it in shed what have i got ?

I had the same bike about 10 years ago.

Looks 100% original to me.

Still have a decent following but they have a relatively low selling price.

Yours looks to be in very good condition.

Just missing the bottle and they're rare.

Got to be @ £200 ish me thinks.

Triathlon was in its infancy in the UK when this bike was new. There weren’t many events but most were short course with around a 20 mile ride. The events I took part in had a few super-fit people on expensive Cannondales and the like but they were largely frequented by reasonably fit-n-healthy joe-public with modest incomes rather than dyed-in-the-wool cyclists. As such the Raleigh was perfectly acceptable to them and a name they could trust. It was a time when the decades old British bike companies were still prominent in the shops.
Holdsworth did the same combo of relaxed geometry and mudguard eyelets by rebranding their Elan model as the Triath-Elan. I had one of these and it felt fast and agile but took 25c and guards in the off-season. I bought the new frame and Campagnolo groupset seperately and built the whole thing up for around £400.
IIRC the Raleigh was a bit cheaper than that.

This is what I remember budget tri-bikes looking like back in the 80's.
