Thankfully the bar clamps are ok, thats the usual place for cracks.
To be fair, the seller was very good when i pointed out the crack, i got a healthy refund.

Theyre pretty arent they. Rex Trimnell (he of Xlite and Muc Off) designed, they were matched to a few high end Raleigh bikes back in the day.

lovely frame and forks had one a while back and mine had the same issue with the bonded lugs on bottom formed a small vertical crack
sure she will look great when done tho tom

Update. The forks are repaired and currently on their way back to me. And now my Xmas rush at work is over I can get back onto this project.

A few bits fitted, should have it built next week sometime and cabled up and ready to ride shortly after that. Fingers crossed for a complete build finish before the end of the month.

Finished, this is such a tasty piece of kit.

Raleigh Torus with Trimnell Fork. 1995 i think.

Built with complete XT M737 throughout and a few highlights. Flite titanium saddle on an X-Lite seatpost. Mavic Sunset rims with Panaracer smoke/dart tyres. Tune titanium wheel skewers.

IMHO this is such a good looking bike, especially with the sunset rims.
I'll get some shots soon when i get a chance to take it out for a spin.
