Evening all,
I went and had a look at the bike tonight. It is indeed a Raleigh 200 exactly as shown here:
http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=160066 and the same frame and forks as in the review above. It is a smallish frame, chap said 17.5, I'm 5ft 9 and it felt smaller than my x-lite so tend towards a 16" but it was quite a sloped top tube so could perhaps be the 17.5?
Pretty good condition too. The main stickers were unfortunately gone, but the RSP badge was still there and other than minor cable rubs it looked like it would clean up really nicely. Great retro project bike. 70mm travel forks were smooth and gears shifted well without any noticeable bb play etc. No damage or dings to be seen. I've seen similar a Raleigh frame with a rear disc mount
http://www.retrobike.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=87324, this one didn't have. It is vee only unless you fancy making a custom brake mount.
I decided it wasn't for me, but if someone else wants it I'd be happy to help out and post it to fellow retrobikers anywhere in the uk. Chap has a few others looking at it over the weekend so if you want it, pm me ASAP.
Cheers
Rae
