Raleigh SPD titanium frame

Hi

After lurking for a while and I have registered so that I can ask a question.

I have just acquired a Raleigh SPD Titanium frame and would like to know more about it.

It is finished in natural titanium, serial number is SC1199 and under the BB is stamped J Yeatman, possible the builder or first owner?

It has the traditional red heron badge and an IMI sticker on the seat tube, and an "Equipment Magic" sticker on the chainstay.

I like that - it does look a bit TT ish. Could that be because of the fork though? Vertical drop outs, was that normal for a Ti Raleigh road frame?

I now can confirm it is a lo-pro TT frame built for John Yeatman, and here is a photo of him on it:

Not sure now whether to build it up just to see what the handling is like with a 700c front wheel or not bother.

The trail seems to be about 8cm measured roughly from the photo, which doesn't seem outrageous. For a long distance (200km+) machine it may give quite a relaxed ride...
