This article published in Cycling dated November 27 - 1982 and ties in perfectly with the time my frame was built.
There was talk of using the 753 Aero frame for the 83 season Ti Raleigh Team time trial bikes.....
Both Post and Le Grand are perfectionists, as it was obvious earlier in the day at the Specialist Bicycle Development Unit. Le Grand was hard at work, cutting to size the front forks for some more team bikes. Post inspected work in operation and was particularly interested in some aerodynamic frames built from Reynolds 753 aero tubing.
"They are very nice", was his comment, and it was clear that he was thinking ahead to the time trial, and the team time trial stages of next year's big stage races.
"We have already built 28 bikes for the team", said Gerald O' Donovan, who is in charge of the unit.
"And it looks as though we are now going to have to supply another 12. If one rider has something Special, the other riders usually have to have the same".
It's good to know that my frame has been veiwed and handled by both the Ti Raleigh Team Manager Peter Post and Ti Raleigh Team Frame Builder and Mechanic Jan Le Grand...
From an old Retrobike post by Elev 12K about the sad passing of Peter Post..
