Remember picking up the Raleigh RSP brochure back in 1999 and seeing the RSP 450 853 and thinking wow!! What a bike since that day I have always wanted to own it many years later I was lucky to come across one complete and mostly original I just couldn’t let it pass. And after a few little jobs it was ready to take on its maidan voyage totally blown away with the quality and the turn of speed of this 20 plus year old xc machine

Just saw this - what a lovely lovely example. Looks so elegant! I always wanted one of these, never ever found one my size.

As much as I like the bike I'm troubled by the 3rd photo.

In the UK, Hyacinthoides non-scripta (English Bluebell) is a protected species under the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981.

It is illegal to intentionally pick, uproot or destroy them.

Please don't trample them just because you think it might make a nice photo. It takes, on average, 5-7 years for bluebells to establish in an area of woodland. Plants die back after footfall damage, as broken leaves are unable to photosynthesise, and can take years to recover.

Actions like this are one of the reasons special interest groups seek to limit cyclists having access to places like this.

just to confirm I do realise and respect that bluebells are protected I carefully walked an already trodden dear trail and very carefully placed the bike I am very aware of the damage that can be caused by some but not by all mountain bike bikers
