Raleigh Pursuit

Can anyone help me with the approximate age of a Raleigh Pursuit frame. I have just been given a full racing bike with 10speed, QR, very early Shimano. Also 27" wheels / tyres
I realise you may need an image attaching - that is to follow.
I am not sure if to take it on as a project, only require a few more details please, (tube type, heritage etc.).

Pics would help as Raleigh used the name for years on end.......early shimano means 1973-74 usually. which is my era

Tubing is Raleigh 18-23, make quite decent bikes, I've had 2

I'd say late 80s as well. I have one here:

If you check the back of the brake calipers there should be a date stamp, which will give a good indication.

That's a tasty bike Robbie, same as my old Pursuit. Same size as well.

The early 80s versions wee near identical, save for different decals and cheapo monkey metal gear levers.

A good clean, few hours with some autosol, some elbow grease, lube and cables and that will be a decent looking bike

And if you aren't up to refurbing it, ill take it off your hands
