Just noticed in the pics you have the steel SR custom chainrings, I have a good SR Custom alloy version I've just taken off my Kellogg's Pro Tour (gone triple).

Sorry not aluminium alloy, they are Steel, the chainrings are polished

I'm no raleigh expert, but there must be different spec chainrings on these SR Custom cranks. Mine must be a some sort of steel alloy chainrings and appear to be factory polished both sides of the chain rings, virtually just a quick 2 minute wipe over with metal polish and came up like this, there was no rust on it whatsoever, (all the other chrome bits were rusted on the bike) They have 88 date stamp and 165mm 52/42T
