I think polish up Stefthehats wheels and run as is until it needs replacing.
Lucky man, this will look brilliant, no matter which way you go with the hubs.
Steftehat , very nice :)

Mmmm I may do that! Those Wolber rims look Ti - the Superbe will gleam when polished!

But a question, has anyone else ever ran low rear and high flange front?

Re:

Well, here's an update.
I've got all of the parts now, all cleaned polished and ready for fitting.

The Tubs have been pumped up and have been on the wheels for a good few days, so next step is to apply the Vittoria Mastik Professional glue and get them finalised.

Rims are Wolber Profil 18 with DB spokes, and tyres are Vittoria Corsa SC Isogrip Pro Series.

I'm very happy with my choice of parts.
The chain is a Gold 8 speed KMC, and the cables are Jagwire which have a braided gold/Ti look to them.
Bottom Bracket is a Tange Seiki sealed alloy unit.

The other parts are 1977 date stamped Suntour Superbe and 1978 stamped Campagnolo Nuovo record.

Stem is a GB Biba 1978, Handlebars GB British Isle engraved 1978 issue and the saddle is a beautiful 1978 black copper riveted Brooks Team professional - all original to the bike.

Next step is to put it all together!

Blimey, that's nice :)

Fluted seat post is Campag Super Record. The KMC chain looks like the the slotted Everest chain of the era.

Re:

Right, after work I got home and decided to put some of it together.
I haven't installed the cables, nor the chain as the Freewheel hasn't arrived yet. and the gears/shifters/brakes/seatpost etc haven't been adjusted or anything.
And the tyres aren't glued on yet.

Re: Raleigh Professional Mk.V 1978

Looking very lovely so far :)
Can't wait to see it finished.

Re:

Here are some updated images.

I installed all the parts, and have only got to install the Gear cables, the rear Campagnolo Record wound steel gear housing, and then adjust everything, followed by gluing on the Tubs.

I ended up installing black Shimano XLR cable for the brakes instead of the Jagwire - more in tune and to be honest look better.

I think the bike looks utterly gorgeous and I think the Suntour Superbe Mk 1 mixed with the Campagnolo Nuovo Record works very well.

Let me know what you think so far.

Re: Raleigh Professional Mk.V UPDATED 31/12/15

That does look really lovely and that paint does look lush. The third pic with the 'Professional' on the top tube shows it off really well.
Really well put together, now just let us now what you think of the ride.
