Raleigh Professional (Carlton) 1973- perfect for l'eroica!

tuercas

Old School Hero
Carlton built Raleigh Professional (1972), Reynolds 531, Campagnolo Nuovo Record gears/seatpost/headset (smooth as butter and marr free), Miche hubs (super smooth), Super Champion clincher (HP) rims, DT spokes, Specialites TA chainset (49-34, 175mm, NOS chainrings), SunTour brake-set (original pads, almost unused), original Nuovo Record cables and housing, silver Benotto Cello tape (I used to sell this tape on eBay from Mexico City :). No BB at present. Also comes with Record pedals, excellent bearings.

Mink/blue paint job, this model was rarely seen in the UK, most were shipped to the USA. Frame/forks and wheels are excellent, straight as a die, this bike rides like a dream, it has a bit more fork rake than the Team model, meaning it is great on mixed surfaces.

55cm ctc seat-tube,. 56 cm ctc top-tube.

This would be perfect for l'eroica or any other of the retro events that are cropping up.

900 euros or best offer.

Shipping will from Rotterdam, 20 euros.

Indeed, the chrome is in excellent condition, no corrosion on or in this frame at all, the BB is like new!

Still available, 700 quid, open to offers!

I've got one of these, same year in champagne/black. Not generally a Raleigh fan, but these are an awesome ride. The BB shell is 1/2 inch higher than a standard frame, something to do with pedal strike. The chrome always goes on the crown forks though. I think they were shipped from the factory with a full Nuovo Record groupset. I did have an original advert, but I can't find it at the minute.

This one had a Shimano crankset, which was original, I should've kept it as it was in excellent condition, some of the US models had a bit of a mix of components.
