Hi,
Just joined the forum.
In 1978 my granny bought me a Raleigh Olympus 5 speed for my Xmas. A month or so ago while browsing through Ebay I found someone selling an Olympus and as they were quite local I bought it.
My plan was to strip it down, renovate and rebuild it. The frame had a lot of surface rust but the rest was in good nick. All the metal work just needed a polish with some wire wool. I couldn't do much about the frame so it was stripped and cleaned up ready for a respray.
When I was rubbing down the paint I found a name under a couple of layers of paint, Dan Duffy. Could he have been part of the team at Raleigh who built the bike?
More to follow as I make progress.
Alex
