Raleigh's total range ,ust be massive.I work in a project that recycles bike and i must have seen a thousand all different. :?

I have my doubts about it being a Raleigh. Pump pegs, down tube guides, seat stay bridge all look wrong. I would also expect to see a gold BS6102 sticker on the bottom of the down tube.

Here is my classic Raleigh.Typical in all aspects.

As far as Im aware the first Maverick came out around 1985 in Metallic blue with yellow decals, then this got revamped a year later and changed colour to maroon like mine with silver decals. The Mavericks were then replaced by the Mustang with its two tone red white fade paint and plastic brake levers.
That was in Britain.I have not idea for other countries though.

You could still get the Maverick when the Mustang was introduced. My first MTB was an 88 Maverick in white and yellow.

Cant recall that colour scheme being seen in Beverley at the time.Bound to have been a pastel shade :D

Wow, another Raleigh Metropolitan!, I was starting to think I was the only owner of one, that one is in great condition, sadly I don't have the rear rack, I used to carry my skateboard around on mine BITD!
