Raleigh m-trax ti 1000 sold

Re: Raleigh m-trax ti 1000 rare

Listen, I can't stand folk using words like rare when it's not.

Mine is XTR, Gripshift, Hope/Mavic, Middleburn, Answer and Flite equipped and I wouldn't say it's rare or even valuable - it's the one that the kiddie seat and trailer attach to.

I paid £10 for mine and it had a better spec than this one....

Sorry to rain on your parade and I love mine (I've had it for almost 8 years now and it's what got me here) but rare it isn't!

Yep, you touched on that a few posts back. Unfortunately there are not many £10 xtr/hope/middleburn equiped bikes around.
Relax

Re:

Can we keep stop the comments on pricing please, older members should no by now that its against the rules.

£110 for a ready to ride bike isn't bad in my book at all.

Re: Raleigh m-trax ti 1000 rare

£110 is a very good price. Nice bike.

Re:

Tragic that they don't sell for a lot more. But look - a newbie ad with the spec and decent, drive-side photos, price... A rare treat!

Size (the measurement from the centre of the BB to the top of the seat tube is pretty standard) and location would make it even better ;)

Hope it finds a happy home!

Re:

Honestly Hward I'd be surprised if anyone here will buy it, for no other reason than if they wanted one, then they probably already have it.

I can see an almost mint m trax 2000, the next model up on ebay at the momment for £80 so if I may suggest? Your best bet would be somewhere like gumtree or the local papers and advertise it around the £75 mark http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Raleigh-M-Tra ... 3aaeffb382

As to the rare comment, I think we sometimes forget our hobby isn't everybodies and something that might be a bso (bike shaped object) is a perfectly good working and able bike to others

I hope it works out well and good luck with your sale

I shall side step the price issue, but given "will not ship", location seems to be of some relevance! (Sorry if I've simply missed it!)

Re: Raleigh m-trax ti 1000 rare

I think it's a little unfair to sneer at the specs of this bike. In terms of performance, I don't think it's really any worse than an STX or LX equipped M Trax Ti, and is probably a better bike than the more common 90s cromo-framed, entry level groupset MTBs many of us here also ride.

The main selling point is the frame itself, perhaps also the handlebar (which I think would have been titanium too), and when ridden the bike I would expect to feel just about identical to Ti 2000 or Ti 3000, if only slightly heavier and without the smugness (in my case at least) that comes with having a high end model, XT/XTR, etc.

good luck to the OP with his sale.
