Lime flamboyant?

Always partial to a bit of green ;)
Found a pic on Mercian site. Have emailed bob asking for a frame 3xample pic.

Needing a bob colour. If that Mercian lime is the same it’s the current favourite with no extras just decal set.

Re: arrived Raleigh Gran Sport paint decisions........?

The chrome will get the foil treatment. Should be passable. I don’t want a pristine bike. I like a bit of character and a nod to the original. Sadly the paint has too much damage. It’s gone from patina to tatty. Saddle may well get swapped for a period black brooks b17

Hello THM, as you know I was at Bob's during the week collecting a couple of frames. What I didn’t mention was that I also dropped off a 1951 Olympic Sprint, my dream project (and probably most expensive to date) I will be making a thread for it later in the year.
But…. The thing is I was in two minds about what colour to have it resprayed in. That is until I saw, hanging on the wall in BJ’s reception, a colour of pure joy….It wasn’t just a flamboyant red, but a most fantastic flamboyant red.
I looked closely at it, as the sun (a rare enough thing in Leeds) shimmered through the depth of the paint and pure made the frame glow!
I looked at The Donald who was grinning from ear to ear and said “that is not on your swatch list! What the F is it? Flam on chrome?” He said “No lad, its something we’ve been working on. A flamboyant red over a modern super fine silver, a silver as close to chrome as we can spray. So she looks like the old school flamboyant over chrome”
Needless to say, my 1951 Olympic Sprint is getting sprayed in this new red.
If you call The Donald and ask him for a photo of the frame painted in the super red flamboyant hanging right next the counter that Chris Hobbs (me obviously) is having his ’51 Claud Butler sprayed in, I’m sure he would oblige.

Ps. If you plum for it, let’s just make sure we don’t go up against each other in the same RBoTM ;)

They're all nice, but the original colour has a lovely soft tinge to it too, I rather like it!
