Dirt Disciple
No space to store, surplus to requirements unfortunately. Bought as a project and brought back to life!
Price is £290.
I'm in the Nottingham - Derby area. I could ship at cost.
Modern wheels and tyres, it's more of a daily driver than a period-correct build. Just looking for what it owes me in parts, otherwise it's going into the loft for a few years.
I think this is a 1991, but not completely sure. Let me know otherwise and I'll update the thread. It's unrestored with original decals, paint. No dents, dings or other scary things. Serviced and rebuilt early last year, and ridden no more than 80 miles.
2055 tubing (cro-mo)
Shimano Exage 500 group, fully working
Original crankset, bars, seatpost - which is definitely not seized
New chain, cassette, cables, brake pads, tape last year
New tyres + wheels (Superstar Icon / Elite 30mm)
Total weight a smidge over 10kg.
Old Selle Shark saddle - on the bike when I picked it up, surprisingly comfortable.
Bad parts, one of the pedals is seized into the original sakae non-drive crank. I haven't heated it, so _might_ be removeable - but for now I've just been using toe clips.
The aforementioned rust bubbles. Not a lot is wrong, would benefit from a respray but what wouldn't?
I'd consider splitting, but it's a low-end model anyway. Happy to answer any questions, test rides welcome.
Thanks.
