I used House of Kolor Bittersweet II sprayed over silver to get the result shown on the left - rear frame with an original front. For comparison, some completed work by the Universal Cycle Centre of Maltby.
I drew a complete blank at my nearest colour match place. The matching machine needs a certain flat area of paint to work from. My next nearest is over a hour away. As Luck would have it, I was working near there a year ago and took a very battered Gran Sport in on my lunch hour. They were helpful, but I needed to leave it with them for longer. I ended up with a shade of copper.
They’d done a match for a Record Ace for me previously - the difference being that there’s no chip for Caramel, whereas for Fern Green, there was.
