The builds have commenced today. The Encounter has the BB now fitted, and tomorrow I will fit the groupset. In the daylight I noticed the blue was a bit more metallic and purpley than I remembered. I'm definitely pumped up for this build now. I still have to decide between the 93 LX and 93 Exage groupsets, however.
The Thunder Road had a bit of a surprise in store. Despite the dirt and scratches to the frame, the cassette shows very little wear and the chainrings are also in good condition. The wheels also look quite passable too, bearings smooth enough and probably needing only a bit of grease.
