Raleigh Bomber 3-speed black - SOLD

Oh not, why am I always so late to the cut! That is such a piece of work, I wish I found this forum earlier because I literally just bought a three speed myself! I snapped it up from this little UK based company that does Dutch bicycles:

A bit of a different look from yours but the inner workings can't be too different. I've always had three speeders and they've always treated me well for what I've needed them to do (commuting to uni which is a 40 minute journey, a couple of small hills to go over). Good call on holding onto it, if you sell if you WILL regret it! If only I could get my loan again, I would go to town on that... the perils of student life!

Re: Bomber - an awesome machine.

I bought one off eBay yesterday. Not so good condition as the on eon here but never the lees an fine example.

This morning I fixed the puncture and took it out for a quick bomb around the streets. It brought back the memories I had of as a kid riding my mates one. I hope to restore mine completely as possible (even going to take it to Argos cycles for a full respray and new livery as the paint on mine is damaged).

I now have 3 vintage raleigh 3 speed bikes. All need work (the bomber needs the least). I have a 1927 Ladies with 28" wheels and rod brakes, a 1930s with 26' (590) wheels and the bomber. They are just awesome machines!

I am thinking about doing some long charity rides (typically called Raids). I recently did Raid Pyrenean on a carbon road bike, but I think a Bomber Raid of some description may be fun (and painful). What do you guys reckon?
