Well done. Nothing like riding and owning a bike you have built yourself.

Yep I couldn't agree more.

Lovely job it looks superb and tenacity is a very useful quality when it comes to building and restoring anything

Oh and I forgot to say the building bit can be a bit addictive so you might want to work out some economising strategies if this carries on.

Cheers Allen :)

Yeah I have so many ideas for future builds, this being my first is alright, 90% perfect but theres room for improvement hence another build must happen

Highlight for me has been I have already set faster times on every hill in my area on this than on my CAAD 12 which is almost 4kg lighter lol. Bizarre :)

As with everything that moves it's all about accelerating the mass

Re:

Great work I have a 1991 Motorola eddy merckx Slx with 7400 dura ace and it is only 500g lighter than your Raleigh !!!

Great thread(s) the components really compliment the frame

Regards

Pat

Looks great, I remember wanting one of these when I was a kid.

Personally I don’t mind going for modern kit on an old frame and have been considering going for slightly updated (or at least STI units) on my Bianchi.

Anyway, great job and enjoy the ride.
