Very nice, similar to mine. So with a sb number that low it originally used to be the ti colour repainted mid '80's team colours? if so who did the repaint? Original owner specified a pump peg and cable guides on the top of the top tube - mine has the cable guides here too.
You may want to resize the image though so we can all get a better look at it

Hi Shawn,

Argos in Bristol repainted the bike. They put the pump peg and second water bottle cage on for me. I bought the bike second hand in 1992. The bike shop owner told me the forks had been replaced. I will attempt to resize the photo. I have more photos in my gallery. Bear with me, I am new to this posting ... great fun though!!

Just curious, I estimate it to be a 1977 model, could it be earlier, I would be grateful for any info. I was very happy with the quality of the respray.

well 676 puts it late 1975 but those cable guides on the top tube aren't quite right.... :? 1975 I think the cables might have even had the chrome clips to hold the cable in place ...... is there not another number after the 676? that would make it a Summer 1984 build if there was under the thick new paint.
I have been in touch with mercian to restore mine and to be honest thought it quite steep. Would you mind telling me how much argos charge? pm me if you prefer

That low number puts it in my era which is the 70's and it doesn't look like anything I would have come across as it stands......

Is there a missing "4" before the number ?

Either that or it has been brought up to date by some additional recent braze ons?

These are some more photos of the bike before I had it resprayed.
The seatpost dia. is 27.2. The bikeshop owner told me it had been recently resprayed in 1992 when I purchased it.
