Look at images of pro's riding in the 70's/80's and 90's (before the advent of ergo shaped bars/sti's etc). Check how they are setup; you should notice the angle.

With apologies for an off-thread question, is there a protocol with regard to right or left side front brake?

I always thought it was right side but I seem to have ended up with a mixed selection and I only have three flipping bikes!
