Raleigh 1981 SBDU 753 Refurb - Updated

Following my previous thread some more pictures, as promised, of my 1981 Raleigh back to its best and almost complete. Mostly Campag SR gruppo with a smattering of DA. I taught myself wheel building along the way and these are efforts number 3 and 4, so I'm feeling very proud of this one.

Sure, I could easily have put SR calipers on but I much prefer the stopping power of the more modern brakes. Mixed groups were more common in the past as well so I reckon it's allowed

I would second the change of brake calipers
If it were mine I would also change the stem - Cinelli 1R
and saddle to Cinelli....

I decided to update this in line with some of your comments. I've found a nice pair of later Super Record brakes and I've built up a pair of GP4s on SR hubs with modern Vittoria Rallys

Beautiful - just what I see in my head when I picture the words 'Raleigh racer'. How come that white bar tape hasn't got dirty then?
