racing a retro

Re:

Keep meaning to enter some of the Ride London events but they're always over subscribed. Would love to some proper MTB event.

Re: Re:

The look on some folks face is absolutely priceless as you sail past them on your £200 retrobike whilst they struggle to get their £2500 Enduro-matic-All-Mountain "rig" up the slightest of inclines.

Oh yes, indeed!

Fine distraction WWC
MacRetro was thinking of doing some of the SXC events so full on Mtb racing. Got some suspension forks I can put on the dyna tech. Hope to try cyclocross fully rigid in the winter..oft

I have done Dusk till Dawn for the last 12 years and have always used my Fat ti or Yo eddy, never had an issue with the bike normally my lungs or legs cause me bigger issues

I race my retro bikes and get a lot of positive feedback for the most part. I used clips on my pedals a couple of years ago and got some flack about how dangerous that was from the younger guys.

Re:

I remember racing the Bontrager 24/12 last year and got chatting with a lad who was younger than me and he asked how old was my Salsa ala carte and when I told him its a 92 he said that was the year he was born  ........I couldn't stop laughing
