Generally when a business goes bust the workforce know little of it until the day the shop/factory actually closes. It's usually only the high end management that know what is actually happening.

That's in my experience of companies going bust anyway.

Indeed, usually when they get to work and find the doors shut and the locks have changed overnight. Either that or getting 15 minutes to clear a desk. I suppose it stops daylight robbery and any last minute damage being done by the employees, both in terms of stock or outright vandalism.

i'm not surprised that much, when the went to their own system of outboard BB cups they were always going to lose out to shimano and SRAM . Their BB's were woeful for life span , the older RF stuff was much better.

The bars were nice but were to pricey for middle of the road equipment but not quite nice enough to compete with the likes of Thompson and crank brothers or even salsa .

they either needed to make themselves a little cheaper of better quality and up the price a little . Sach did the same before being bought by SRAM.

Another established company goes to the wall.

This is strange: Raceface sign a deal to sponsor a young rider on Feb 21st. But just 3 weeks later, the company folds. I can't help but wonder whether the management really understood how close they were to insolvency. Somebody either wasn't watching, didn't understand or didn't care about the numbers on the company's financial statements.

Standby for the liquidators to shove the remaining inventory onto the market at clearance prices...

I'm hearing through the grapevine here that there's some companies in the industry positioning themselves to pick up the pieces.

I heard Kraft were interested, so they could carry on the production of high-end components made out of cheese.

I've not had the best experience with Race Face kit, usually cranks. It's lovely to look at though.

That's promising; if someone's ready to buy Raceface as a going concern, people may keep their jobs. However, those sponsored riders will probably be shown the door until the company can pay its way.

And it will put an end to any bargain basement sale of shiny pink things. Sorry Archangel...
