Hi folks small update the bike has been completely stripped back down to just frame and forks separately and delivered to my friend who's going to lacquer the frame and forks for me to protect the original paint and decals and pinstripes until I can afford for him to paint it properly for me and find someone who can redo all the pinstripes and decals.

Would like to be a riding bike by the end of the month but will soon see

While the frames away I've decided to get the leather conditioner out and see what I can do with the original saddle. Well so far so good

Well today I picked my frame up from my friends paint shop and needless to say I'm over the moon with how it's turned out. Here a before and after picture of the frames bottom bracket, hope you like

And so it begins the rebuild of the bike after many years hidden and all I can say is I'm bloody excited pictures will follow as I go along

The clear laquer has made an amazing difference to bringing out the lovely patina and lining.

Well after a bit of work the bikes completely finished and been enjoying it. Riding to work on it and out to the local village cafe 4miles away

I know it's not everyone's taste but I love it
