quickie, seatpost size on my p7?

Hi everyone,
just after the seatpost size for my 1995 p7. its currently shimmed to 26.4, but i have my eye on something bigger and want to change/remove the shim completely.

I googled and got to page 9 before i got angry and had some ice cream.

any help would be much appreciated

seems to suggest 30mm seat tube (which I read to be the internal diameter) with 31.8mm outer diameter (front mech band size.)
