New build for SWMBO. But she can't/won't make her mind up

This is what I have so far.

Wheels will have silver hubs as the rear is a nexus 8 speed, tyres are bontranger jones XR and a set of polished v brakes are lined up for it, but the rest, rims, stem, cranks etcetera are still to be bought. The dilemma, if you can call it that, is whether to buy silver/bare alloy bits, red bits or black bits or if you think mix n match, what colour where?

I can't decide if a red stem will look gash or not?

I'd go for black bits (stem, bars, seatpost etc), and leave the red to the smaller finer detailing (bolts, seatpost clamp etc).

Maybe red rims , if you can get hold of some ? Red grips too .

I would try to balance a red stem with red grips and saddle or such.

Mind you I tend to just use what I have!

That's becoming increasingly likely!!
She's demanded I fit her old huge sprung gel saddle :facepalm:
And I've just found a pair of old araya/Shimano 36spoke wheels in the garage which have a seized solid rear hub. Perfect for taking the nexus.
Silver though.
Think I'll go with it for now, all it's going to cost is a set of spokes. Going to mount the tyres in a bit and see what they look like in the frame.
