I know I know, this is a retrobike forum but I'm sure a lot of you use modern bikes hence my attempt at asking a modern bike query...
I have a 2017 SC Nomad that runs 11 speed: SRAM NX rear mech and shifter.
I want to run 12 speed Eagle as I want to update the drivetrain and swap out the NX kit. Im actually tempted with the electronic shifting otherwise it will be a XX1 upgrade.
The wheels are Novatec 11 speed hubbed affairs running the 11 speed NX cassette- I understand I will need to replace the "driver" (cassette body) with a 12 speed compatible one.
a) is this possible on my Novatec 11 speed hubs (I think so)
b) what exactly do I need to do it - is it a SRAM XD driver? Does anyone have any link and or tools I need to swap it out?
I'm a dumbass on modern stuff so I'm learning like a sponge. It's like being born again: an emergence out of the retro/alternative bubble where technology adopts different physics.
