Only for fitting pedals, never for removing them unless luck's been on my side (but what usually happens is that either the hole or the allen key rounds off and gives way, things go badly pearshaped as classical physics takes over, and I end up whacking my knuckles against the frame or the chainset as the multitool flies off in another direction).
