Only for fitting pedals, never for removing them unless luck's been on my side (but what usually happens is that either the hole or the allen key rounds off and gives way, things go badly pearshaped as classical physics takes over, and I end up whacking my knuckles against the frame or the chainset as the multitool flies off in another direction).

Oh, yeah, another thing, Tackx stuff is crap. I bought a Tackx bottom bracket tool for a Campag BB. The shop bloke assured me it was also
ok to use for cassette lockrings. No it isn't - the tool doesn't fit over the axle. And the tool only has a crappy narrow surface for the spanner flats. Slipped spanner and gouged knuckles, anyone?

Had the same issue with some versions of the shimano cassette tool, according to shimano it should work for brake disc lock rings. It doesn't.
Strangely, a mates tool (exactly the same tool, but ~10 years newer) drops on perfectly. Bit naughty of shimano having two identical part numbered tools which aren't interchangeable.

multitool? That's your first mistake! I've got a 200mm long T handled Allen key. (Well a set of them) Gets most things off.
