Purchased a GT Force 1994, need help deciding what to do next

I think I missed this thread first time around. I love a skinny-tube GT. 2021 my ‘geared bike’ was a brutally stiff GT Edge Aero which would try to kill you in a side wind, but I loved every minute even the near death experiences. It wasn’t great with a Hamax child seat on the back, but my then 2 year old son got his first taste of daddy bike rides on the back of it during lockdown, riding vintage TT bikes through mud and down towpaths and cable tying (edit: bungeeing) fruit-picking paraphernalia to it for a bit of local fruit scrumping.

The skinny-tubed GTs can only be better at all of those things IMO 👍

This 853 GT Edge is selling for cheap, I've an idea to make it an all out fast Gravel bike. It's a 57cm, but I normally ride a 56cm. Any idea what the geometry was like on these GTs?
Hello friend, GT fan. Before picking up the frame for a gravel project, check the maximum tire width it supports... it is very common that tires larger than 25mm are not accepted at this time. GT's usually have a long top tube...

I totally forgot about this thread...and the might thanks to the road conditions in winter (salt and pepples).
But until winter it was my favourite commuter. This is how it looks like now although the purple screws and 1x are temporary.
My only complaint is that the geometry it too athletic for me (saddle around 12cm higher than the bars). My body proportion is horrible for vintage frames, 184cm tall with 89cm inseam, ergo short torso.
Hello! On my GT Force size 58, made of 7005 aluminum, I had to change the seat post for one without recoil, as I have a similar body proportion to yours. Below is my GT Force:

I can ride a 57 no problem, with a shorter stem etc. It's a bit of a concern a long top tube but I'll get the seller to measure it. It's going super cheap, but ai want a bike I can ride comfortably. 28mm tyres would be the max I would fit. Also it's sold without forks so I will probably fit a full carbon disc fork up front 😍😎
