Would love some purple Pulstar Hubs or similar to replace the ones that got stolen recently and to replace the replacements that I bought off ebay but the seller decided to change his mind and sell them to someone else !!! (hmmm).

Cheers,
Dean.

I have a rear one on a ayara rim (pretty sure can check the garage if you want) however I think the bearings need replaced- sound very dry and noisy- I tried taking the spindle out but it did not come out completly suspect there is some sort of nifty technique to service these jobbies. Anyway give me a shout if it is of interest to you- oh yeah there filthy too, really doing a good selling job on them aint I

I have a front red and a rear silver , will come with straight spokes ( not enough for a wheelset though ) .

Hi all who have replied.

Actually thinking about it I would consider silver hubs but really prefer purple. If I can't get a newish and decent purple set I will get back to clockworkgazz and cchris2lou.

Thanx chaps ;-)
Dean.

I bought those pewter wheels for $85 from that buyer...have 'em and don't need 'em. They are cup & ball, not sealed like my the 9000-series Pulstar wheelset I have in blue (Bontrager rims, handbuilt by Wheelsmith). I rebuilt the bearings and relubed the freehub, which seems to engage well, though I think the oil I used was a little on the thick side, so there is not much of an audible click anymore.

Anyway, if anyone in the US is interested I'd take $85 + shipping for the Pulstar wheels (pewter ones with Araya rims in excellent condition). I'm in VA.

I have a pair of NOS purple hubs, some marks from storage though.
