As you have had the bike 30 odd years, and the fact you have kept it in such great condition, I don't think deep down you really want to sell it.

There are collectors in the states that may give it the home you would like it to have, maybe even Daryl himself? but what would you replace it with?

How about starting a thread about the bike in readers MTB section? good pictures, history of the bike etc, you must have some great story's of adventures you have had with the bike?

As much as I, along with others would love to add it to our collections, I think you should keep it

Completely agree. I think you would miss it if you did sell it, especially after nearly 30 years

Is it aluminium or aluminum?

Neither, it's yellow :D

Hell guys, replacing it is the last thing on my mind, I'm in my 50's now and just don't ride it anymore and haven't in a (quite a) while.

I used to be quite the rider and actually rode this thing against John Tomac way way back in the day.
He wore my narrow bootay out, that lad could ride like no one I've ever seen since.
It's been down the Kamikazi Downhill at Mammoth Mt. in California probably hitting 100+kph in spots.

Bah, good times, but it's time is past now and I need to realize that.
Hope y'all understand.

Wow, heated debate. Have we already seen a picture of a 1988 Funk? Well, here it is. It's the 1988 Prototype.

Loving that...
