Your derailleur looks like a 1996 short-cage variant. I just scanned original manuals to the catalogue section (fyi anyone curious).

You mention Alpinestars Cromega DX. I don't have that, but I do have a 1992 Alpinestars AlMega XT frame and fork with IIRC most all the original XT parts still on the bike. It's a project...but not a priority for me at the moment. Maybe a trade?

Can you send photos? Look above all for a model with elevated chainstay.
