Trying to be less of a lurker here and more of a contributor. So that said everyone loves pictures (except for those few still on a dial up connection). For whatever reason luck or foolishness, I am currently overwhelmed with projects. It's fun but a patient game waiting for the free time to work on the projects and the extra funds to buy those proper parts. So here are a few photo's of things on the to do list:
1980 Champion Cruiser BMX. This bike was converted to an early Klunker back in 1981 with the addition of a bash guard, der hanger, cable stops etc... . I have an old photo of what it looked like back in the day and have been collecting parts to replicate this build:
Same bike circa 1981:
1985 Ritchey Timbercomp. Waiting for the right donor bike to come along to replace some well used parts.
Two Prewar "C" Schwinn Klunker projects. The red one is not mine:
Prewar Schwinn 41 DX. This one has been complete before but I am currently stealing parts off of it for the other klunker builds. My goal is to have one of these klunkers complete with all pre 80 era correct parts, the other two will be the leftovers:
Before:
After:
1997 Kona Custom Ku. Actually one of my primary riders, but it's in dire need for a loving tear down, proper cleaning and then to be put back together. I promised someone here I would post better photo's after it's cleaned up proper:
1985 Ritchey Aspen. Just put together last winter to try out a dirt drop setup. Rode it pretty hard all spring. Broke the rear canti a few weeks ago so put it back in the to do pile for now:
A bit of a list. With my current amount of free time and available bike allowance, I should be on track to complete most of it by the time I have grandkids old enough to ride.
Cheers,
T
