Project Kona ....

Nice work. I didn't know you could get that nice of a finish out of a rattle can. I have always used my monster sized compressor and a cheap Harbor Freight spray gun. Signing up for the finished product.

Yep nothing better than air dried washing lol..

Decals, yes I've had em a while .. Unfortunately, the packaging was creased on delivery which in turn creased three of the decals. They've been squashed between the pages of a heavy book for the last couple of weeks ... Just hope it's taken out the crease

Sweet !, well it shouldn't be that long now before your assembling the Kona especially since it's been outside in the fresh air as that will knock at least a weeks hardening time off the 4 week total ;) .

you needed to put the decals between two small warm Tea towels or cloths then put them in the middle of a heavy book as the warmth of the towels would help soften the decals enough allowing the crease to flatten easier :) ..

Re:

This is what I was thinking about the decals too. But also wouldn't it also be alright if you just flatten creases while applying them?

It depends on how sharp an edge the crease has mate as sometimes it will pull out as you apply otherwise it will try and pull it's self back together forming a wrinkle or slight ridge in the decal mate ..

Just prior to application or days in advance ?
