Ibis mojo in the best color vicious blue!

Ain't been on for a while sold my old Spesh epic carbon...as wasn't riding much.

However I'm back in the saddle again... Spec to follow on the above low milage in mint condition and treated to bike tart heli tape :mrgreen:

Been toying with fitting a blue chain too my but iy woukd need to have fully slotted links tk be as light as kmc x10sl... and such dont exist yet.


Is this the one that one on ebay recentky , if so, you got a bargain, they ride great too, soak up bumps like an inflatable octopus.

Hi yes bud that was the one, turned up nice bloke sad story however the bike is in mint condition could pass as new.

As for the chain this is a wiperman slightly heavier than the kmc that was in there.

Tbh don't know weather to keep 9sp or go 10?
As for the ride yep totally different to the spesh, however it's a joy to ride.

Sold the xt brakes..

Now have these. Shimano xtr variant.
Just need some light weight rotors.

Spec so far.

Thomson finishing kit.
Bars easton xc carbon rise.... After sum nice flats though.
Wheels hope 3's straight pull on dt rims
Fox forks just been serviced and same as the rear Rp23
Shimano xt drive train ..... Soon to be changed.

Will get some better pics posted.

Had one of these in guiness foam colour. Got it down to 24lb with various tweeks but it got to skittish when riding it so sold up and went alloy Tracer.

There nice to ride, what was the spec of yours tbh not to sure weather or not to 1x10 or keep 9 ?

Seen a Guinness colour a couple of years back looked good, think the lad had easton finishing kit on it.

I had 1x9 on there. Will dig out some pics if I can find them. I fitted the ti kit to it and mostly weight weenie stuff running gear side of it, I think it got too light really for my bulk and I was worried about breaking it. Did 2 trips to Spain on it and it coped fine though.

I had those rotors but did not get on with them, in the end sold them. The braking surface is more air than metal (yes i know the equations say it makes no difference) but they did not stop me as well as more solid ones, plus on certain forks would cause the fork to judder quite badly.

If you are after similar weight, take a look at quaxar alloy carrier rotors, a bit more metal in the braking surface so no juddering and stop reasonably well but seem to eat pads rather quickly.

For a bit more weight, then it is formula disc (single piece steel) that offer good stopping power and good pad life.

The best compromise of weight, stopping power and pad life are hope SAW but the are the most expensive by a factor of 1.5 or 2x.
You may not experience any of these problems since most likeky are lighter than me.

Hi,

Tbh these are the second set I've had, used these on my old epic with no issues at all using elixir cr carbon.

On initial set up these were a annoying to line up with out them scrubbing on the disc.
Will see how the brake performs tomoz, no to sure about these cooling fins either.

Yeah seen those quaxar was tempted by them wasn't sure on color coding.
As for hopes don't rate them ! Well not on the stoppers I've had always had issues with the rivets catching.
