Proflex Offroad

Curious bike. The front frame is a tange infinity 550 frame, but the rear arm colour is from a 750 (alu frame) or a RF-1 due to the original neon orange (550's were blue). But what makes me sick is the colour of the flexstem, cause 750 and RF-1 had superoversize (1 1/4") headset and 550's had 1" headset.

Definately a 'bitsa' bike - bits a this one and bits a that one. Looks like someone has bolted two bikes together as thats definately a 750 rear end and stem on a 550 frame and fork. Even the parts are from 2 bikes with the chainset and rear mech being the XC comp from the 750 and the XCE brakes, LX wheels and Deore II front mech coming from the 550.

Interesting early bike none the less. I think Cane Creek thudbuster seatpost elastomers would work on that rear end.

You're right.

They do their job perfectly and the colour is practically the same than the originals.
