Hey iam new here and can't see much about proflex's. Are there any retro bikers interested in them?
I'm getting my 2nd favorite model on tue or wed next week, an 857 frame won on ebay and can't wait.

Also can any one help me change my name on here as I messed it up completely and now can't edit it in my profile

yes lots about Proflexes on here if you look around. I'm a big fan myself.

Dave what do you have from 92 and 95?
I've got a finished 97 animal (not very origional)
A finished 97 reptile (very near origional and in the black, red and yellow colours)
A 94 454 (very slow on going project, built up with mostly old lx kit)
Soon to have my 857!!!!

That's dead nice, white seems to be a popular choice atm, suits the frame and goes with the swing arm.
Was it the classic red colour origionaly?
Those cross link elites you've got on the front are exactly what iam going to be after as soon as my 857 frame gets here!
Oh and the wallets been rapidly emptied for a long time, least I no iam not the only nut spending on old bikes now

I like Proflex's , my first proper MTB BITD was a Proflex (Offroad) 752, bought in 1992 from Shockwave in Glasgow, later became an 852 due to a replacement frame.

Been tempted to get another, later ones are nice but, would need to be a 92-93 though like the one i had.

Another vote for keeping the username, at least you wont be mistaken for anyone else

That's a good deal then, you got a free upgrade then! When I got my dads old raleigh dyna 92 passed on to me back in the mid 90's, I jumped it a bit (teenage ignorance) an of corse the down tube came out the head tube, got a brand new frame for that, didn't mention the jumping part though
