ProFlex 955, Hope Ti wheelset, XT brakeset/shifters/mechs

Re:

Did you buy this from the USA recently as I saw a very similar one on there?

It's a nice bike, Proflex's are a Marmite bike so it's a hard one to price but £600 did seem a lot to me as a full bike. I could be wrong though.

What size it it?

Are you looking to purely sell or interested in a part ex deal on a almost mint GT STS-DS?

Re: ProFlex 955 World Cup complete ***PICS ADDED***

Just checked and it was a different but similar Proflex.

I would say £600 is a too high given the spec (not XTR M900, not Ringle, etc)

Thanks for your response. No, not looking for a trade as this is funding my next bike (old Stumpjumper) which has already been found. I appreciate it not being worth the list price but i genuinely had no clue what to value it at.

Anyone else on here have any suggestions...

It was bought in Bristol BTW. Cheers

Re: ProFlex 955 World Cup complete ***PICS ADDED***

Are they dents on the forks? Any other dents? Have you checked for cracks?

Drop me a PM, I'm potentially interested depending on the price. For price, I picked up a very today Proflex 855 on here last year for £200 with reisse shocks.

Re: ProFlex 955 World Cup complete ***PICS ADDED***

Yes, that is a dent on the forks but from what i have seen that is the only one. The only crack was on the swingarm pivot so that has been replaced (It is included so you can weld it up and have as a spare). If you were interested could you give me a ball park figure of you would be happy to pay please? Would PM but interested in other peoples views on price.

Cheers

Re:

Nice bike (biased as I have a 955 as well)

Price wise I paid £175 for an 855 (which is the same frame just unpolished). It didn't have the risse shocks, but did have the coil upgrades on ODS dampers. Otherwise very similar spec with the hope hubs and XT V brakes.

Assuming the shocks are in good working order, I'd say £300 would be a fair price to start with and see how you get on.

Thank you. Is there a way of telling if the hubs are titanium or not as i've noticed Ti versions aren't marked up as so and are therefore no different to standard versions visually...?

Re:

Very nice. :D If you were to split this, I'd say you'd have a lot of folks buying the components and would probably get closer to the £600 mark... Wheels good for £150 - the central part of the hubs are titanium, the blue ano flanges are aluminium. The freehub body on the rear is also titanium. Some nice kit, though I'm assuming you want to sell as a whole and not spend the next week dismantling and boxing up parts.

On Retrobike you'll get a reasonable price, if you were to sell on ebay it you may, likely, get more as there is a bit of a premium and some people have more money than sense (generally, not here specifically!). RB is more enthusiasts so the price can vary somewhat but is generally market value...

I think between £300 and £400 is reasonable - the kit isn't top of the line but not far off and from the pics looks really clean and in good condition.

GL with the sale my friend.
