When you say 18" from crank to top of top tube, is that center of crank and is that top of actual top tube (i.e. the bit that slopes up) or where the proper top tube would be if it weren't for the slopey bit... if that makes sense. Sure I'm just trying to make something fit that won't.

Yes the measurement is from the centre of the crank to the main top tube, as in the straight bit where the 856 decal is on, no the sloped up bit at the back
