Proflex 856 Factory Test Model

BigDog

Retro Newbie
Selling my Proflex 856 Factory Test Model, from what I can see this is a particularly rare version of this bike with the Factory Test stickers on it. Has been used, and upon request I'll upload some photos. Size is a large/medium, I'm not to sure. I'm 6ft 5 and I'm a tad to big for it hence why I'm selling it.

I've fitted Magura Race Line D brakes (yellow) to this. As well as that it has had some Xerox wheels fitted and DMR Moto tires. It DOES NOT have elastometers, instead yellow springs fitted. I think this was a feature of the Factory test as it appears they came stock. Also fitted is a Specialised saddle of your choosing (2011 rockhopper or a V-Groove saddle). Also has THE Grips fitted (Red) and original Girvin Bar Ends w Carbon bar caps for the bar. Also just replaced the front innertube with a Specialized one. Mech appears to be Shimano XT w Sram (I think, I double check later) shifters. Bike is a bit slow on shifting but this can be sorted out!

Really sweet bike, haven't owned it for long but need the monies.

Make me an offer, need money ASAP!!

Pickup in SouthLondon or sent by courier for an extra £21

Hi there!

Pics will definitely help your sale, however a price is much more important. If you don't put one on your ad, the mods will block it.

Okay, offers around £200 then.

Doesn't the test sticker just designate that this was a bike given to a dealer for test rides?

Not knocking it at the price, but I don't think it's some Proflex rolling test bed...

I'm not sure sorry mate. I think the ones given to dealers had a different name on them, can't be certain though

yup ,demo bikes
usually had a different build spec to the brochure ones
my local flex dealer had 2 of them
a 656 and an 856
