I posted up a thread recently as to what people might think these might be worth. No-one really new but I have seen SS cranksets in a much worse state sell for £55+ on ebay without the Ti axle or the Ti chainring. Given the good condition and titanium parts I am asking £125 by bank transfer or gifted paypal which includes postage via recorded courier.
This is a very rare set of cranks perfect for any high quality mid school BMX build. These came out of my old S&M dirtbike and it would be a shame to leave something so special on a frame which is simply going to be hung up on my garage wall. Before anyone asks: the frame is not for sale and you wouldn't want it anyway as I cut the brake lugs off BITD (idiot I know).
The Profile SS crank was THE part to have - an overbuilt crank for those who rode hard. According to Alans BMX there were very few SS cranks bought into the UK, and even fewer with the very desirable (and not to mention expensive) lightweight titanium axle. I imagine there are hardly any left in this condition and this is the only one I know of currently for sale with the Ti axle.
I have owned these cranks since new and originally ordered them from the U.S.A.(I think from Empire BMX). I was ordering a job lot of parts and for the extra money and given the keen exchange rate at the same, it seemed a shame not to have "THE BEST". I even pushed the boat out and bought the 28t Titanium Profile Imperial chainring to go with it (included). I have the original box and installation guide as well as the crank tool and both sized spacers.
Although these cranks can take considerable abuse, sadly (for me, not for you) I haven't given them a hard life. I have hardly ridden in the last 7 years and even when I did ride more frequently, the biggest trails I rode were probably only 4ft.
I have changed the bearings once during my ownership (from Alans BMX) and these replacements are still going strong. Should you require more at a later date you don't actually need to go back to profile, just give the code to a specialist bearing supplier and they should be able to order you some.
Soooo, what you are getting:
> Profile SS Oversized crank arms (175mm) - these have the usual rub marks and just need a coat of paint.
> Axle bolts (threads fine) and the appropriate washers.
> Bearings in good condition with none of the screwdriver marks you sometimes see from poor removal.
> The appropriate cups necessary to fit into an American Bottom Bracket. These are marked in places (I think I removed the cups when I changed the bearings last time round) and this was when I was young and impatient hence the marks. The cups still serve the purpose perfectly and you can only notice removal marks on the outer lip and on the underside that disappears inside theframe. The important inner face is fine.
> The washers that sit between the cups and the arms (sorry don't know the proper name) have the odd scratch and mark but again good, used condition.
> Profile SS titanium Axle. Very rare, very light and in very good condition. All the splines are perfect.
> Both bearing spacers that sit inside the BB. One is unused the other one that I needed for my dirt bike is in good used condition.
> Profile titanium 28t Imperial chainring. Good used condition. Obviously the teeth have partly worn down since new but lots of life left in it.
> Unused Spider adapter.
> Crank installation and removal tool.
> Original sachet of grease (I used my own instead).
> A spacer in good used condition.
> Original Box.
> Original installation guide. Inside this has a diagram in it of a generic profile crank with spider but the instructions still apply to the SS crank.
I think that's about it. Here is a link to LOTS of detailed photos of splines, threads, blemishes etc etc. I have tried to be as honest as possible:

Please don’t hesitate to ask any questions or let me know if there are any extra images you require.
I am based in Spetisbury near Blandford Forum in Dorset DT11 but will post anywhere on the UK mainland with a signed for courier. I will not ship internationally. Viewing is welcome as is cash and collection in person.
Please note: These cranks WILL NOT fit bike frames that don’t feature an American BB (so not Spanish or Mid BB frames). The oversized SS axle is 7/8 (circa 22.2mm) and all the SS parts are interdependent. Because the bearings are oversized you cannot simply do away with the cups and press them into a mid BB.I have described these parts accurately but to bear in mind the cranks are used, 9 years old and there is discolouration on some parts in places as well as any other defects mentioned above.
All in all though, a very special package.
Cheers
Ben
