Primus for your vintage bike

1938 It was aimed at 'followers of open-air life, Cycling, Camping, Motoring, Boating etc.'

It was fitted with straps to enable fastening to a bike crossbar & the bag made of 'Stout waterproof material'.

Used to see groups of cyclists in woods at the side of the Loch Lomond road during 1960s and early 70s - always stopped for a brew with wee fires and Primmys on the go. I wouldn't go anywhere near that road with a bike now.

Even with the weight penalty compared to other stoves, it remains my favourite, especially in winter. Simple effective engineering - the way it should be

Aye - but it's not designed to fasten to your bike. 71's were good with motor bikes as could use the fuel. I've several 71's dating from 1920's to 1970's. The best ones come with integrated windshield & pans.
