did you have trouble getting your front mech to fit that far down the seat tube?

its been there for as long as i can remeber, can't think of any issues. Are you having some trouble?

oh they are a real mare to fit, it's a design flaw.

with a top pull/top swing getting to the cable clamp bolt is really tricky.
with a top pull/bottom swing the cable is at such an angle that it will gladly eat it's way through the cable stop.

was thinking of going single ring up front or trying an e-type front mech, but the e-type sounds like i can't do it, so may go single up front. there's a dent at the bottom of the seat tube making it difficult to fit a bottom swing/top pull - which is what i need coz any other type i cant fit low enough to stop the chain rubbing on the bottom of the mech cage :evil:

to be honest its been such a ball ache i might just buy your bike and be done with it!!!
